💛YELLOW FOR DESTINY - Summer Photo Challenge. Yellow is my favorite color, and brings me a lot of joy, so I want to challenge you this summer to seek it out. AWARENESS:​🪽 Orange Shirt Day dedicated to giving a voice to the Indigenous People of Canada, honouring survivors, their families, and communities and bring awareness to the unfair treatment of children in Canadian funded and forced residential schools. As well as bring attention to colonial policies, what Indigenous communities are still fighting for, including clean drinking water, and lastly bring awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit people. 

🪽I've still been painting a lot, its really relaxing and it forces you to slow down. Last month I did a bunch of birdhouses for my mom, and this time I'm doing wooden signs. I'm planning a party in the fall, and hoping to give everyone a hand-painted piece of seasonal art to take home and enjoy. So I've been doing fall, and vintage halloween, beetlejuice etc. Really enjoying it! ​ 🪽 School is out for the Summer !!! Finally, Im really excited to have my flexible schedule, even though when September rolls around I'm definitely ready for structure again lol It's certainly a nice break! Excited to make more memories and do some fun things with my family and friends!  🪽I've been a little quieter this  month online because I've been doing some self work. Therapy, and reflection. I don't want to get too much into it, because I don't want you to worry about me, but I'm working on things, and I appreciate your patience with me.  🪽I saw that new film "Obsession".. holy fuck! What a twisted movie. It definitely had gore, and that creepy element, but there were some moments that felt uniquely disturbing, and afterwards it kind of left me feeling like that too. Like wtf did I just watch. It was reasonable and relatable but also fucking insane. Really good. 

🪽Watched "Backrooms".... very creepy and uncanny, unusual and strange. Loved the unique story line, setting, lighting. I actually went swimming in a place over March Break that felt like a backroom or liminal space, and then when I realized, it got creepier... I noticed the radio was playing a weird pop station in a different language, it almost felt like AI music, that couldn't be identified! Anyway, I think the furniture store was a perfect setting for that story too. I feel left with so many questions, and really hoping there is a sequel. 

🪽Nice visit with my sister. I made us lasagna, and we watched movies we grew up watching. We laughed lots, my god she's funny. I really value our time together. 🪽Saw "Project Hail Mary", I don't even know what I was expecting going into it, but it was cute, I usually enjoy space travel movies. Had some cute moments but I was particularly distracted by the fact the two main characters look like older versions of my friends who are dating. lol  🪽I also saw "Mother Mary" this one was interesting. Really abstract, visually beautiful, dark, haunted. It tells a story between a tortured pop icon and her costume designer. It was also not what I expected, but loved many shots.
