The Yellow Summer Photo Challenge

Yellow has always been my favorite color. I actually remember the first time I got to choose the color of something for myself. I was about 3 or 4 years old, and picked out a yellow tooth brush. Fate was sealed that day. I noticed immediately how it made me feel, HAPPY! Not just because I picked my own toothbrush but the color itself gave me such a certain feeling of happiness. To me, it feels bright, comforting, and full of optimism. It's the kind of color that lets joy seep in unexpectedly. I notice it everywhere, almost as if I'm attracted to it, and it attracted to me. I've recently felt like I needed that feeling in my life a little more, so I thought it would be fun to turn that into a little community challenge.
It's a little difficult at first, but once you start looking for it, you realize it's everywhere. Bright flowers growing through sidewalks, a rubber duck floating in a pool, a festival wristband, a taxi driving by, a sunflower taller than you expected. Even the evening sunlight spilling across your kitchen table at golden hour.
The Challenge
Over the rest of the summer, I'd love for you to send me photos of yellow things you come across in your everyday life.
They don't have to be professional photos. In fact, I'd rather they weren't. although I do need the photos to be clear.
So keep your eyes peeled, maybe it's:

If you'd like to join in, send me your yellow summer photos throughout the season. Whether you're traveling across the world or just walking around your neighborhood, I'd love to see what catches your eye. I love the idea of seeing our summer through this warm yellow lens!
I will feature some of my favorite submissions here on HoeWithAHalo in a community collage that you can check in on over the next couple of months!
I have a feeling yellow is waiting around every corner. šAnd just know you make my day brighter and happier by sharing your yellow with me!
